Two stages of research at PUC-SP: an undergraduate research project, followed by a final thesis that revisited the topic with updates and a different model.
The question behind the work
What helps explain investment into Brazil?
My research focused on the determinants of foreign direct investment in Brazil. It was an early opportunity to connect an economic question with data and modeling, then return to that question as my undergraduate training developed.
One topic. Two research stages.

Undergraduate research
Determinantes do Investimento Estrangeiro Direto no Brasil no período de 1995 a 2010
The approved research project examined the 1995–2010 period. The university records its 2012–2013 research cycle and the honorable mention awarded in 2013.
I returned to foreign direct investment in Brazil for my final thesis, updating the study and using a different model. This continued the research thread begun during my undergraduate research project.
This stage is summarized from my account. The thesis manuscript and model specifications are not included here yet.
A foundation for applied modeling.
Economic question→Data and model→Revisit and update
This page documents the research trajectory and the university recognition. It does not reproduce empirical estimates or claim results for either model.
